Client Description
Our client is a market leader in the aerospace industry. The company currently has numerous engineering opportunities to join their expanding company based in Stockton.
Job Description
Due to rapid expansion and an increase in new business a position has become available for a manufacturing engineer in this dynamic organisation. The primary role will involve making improvements to the manufacturing process, through looking at factory layout, Value Stream Mapping and adopting six sigma techniques. The role will encompass and manage New Product Introduction into the business, ensuring that the company is set up to manufacture to specification. The manufacturing engineer would be responsible for specifying material requirements, defining suitable methods of manufacture and identifying & implementing necessary tooling & equipment. You would be responsible for managing budgets in terms of cost and time and for the implementation of operational improvements. As such, successful candidates should posses excellent project management skills.
Candidate Description
All levels of experience are welcome, candidates that are recently qualified HNC/HND qualified would be advantegous. Relevant training will be given on improvment tools & techniques. Good verbal & written communication skills, general IT literacy and familiarity with CAD will be needed in the role.
