My client is one of the leading high voltage substation suppliers in the UK. They are part of a very well known group and are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Sunderland...
THE ROLE
* Ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with standard SHEQ procedures and work instructions.
* Assisting in the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting system which can effectively manage the financial status of the contract, the tasks and the people involved in putting this information into the system in order that such reports are produced.
* Ensuring the necessary interface information between client, subcontractors and departments is provided.
* Establishing programme commitments are being met and advise on action to be taken when this is not the case, whether as a result of a company breach or otherwise.
* Monitoring labour allocations and mix and report on deviations to required budget.
* Monitoring expenditure with the assistance of the Finance Department to ensure that up-to-date cost information is available and known. Continually monitor projected costs to completion.
THE PERSON
* The ideal candidate will have a degree in quantity surveying but a minimum of HNC will be accepted.
* Must have previous experience within a quantity surveying role
* Based in Sunderland
