We are looking for Collections Advisors within a leading Insurance Claims Management company based in Peterlee. The ideal candidates shall have previous Contact Centre experience, preferably, but not essentially, with knowledge of the Insurance industry in particular assessing and interpreting claims.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent influencing and negotiating skills, with strong communication skills – written and oral. You must possess excellent IT skills, good time and priority management and be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision.
You must be self motivated and flexible, with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. You must have a hands-on approach and be proactive and responsive to the closure of cases.
The responsibilities include:
1. Provide a customer first service, responding to or making telephone, email and mail queries to/from customers, insurance companies, hire providers, repairers and legal agents.
2. Effectively manage a caseload and achieve individual and team targets for the recovery of income.
3. Through negotiation with third party insurance providers settle and recover the full costs (for example hire charges, repairs, personal injury costs) of motor insurance claims within agreed company time frames.
4. Where it is not possible to recover full costs to negotiate the maximum recovery of costs.
5. Liaise regularly with customers, suppliers, partners and insurance companies regarding the progress of recovery.
6. Build effective and robust relationships with third party insurance providers and legal agents to help support the recovery of costs.
7. Input and record information on a computerised system.
8. Operate in accordance with company standards and procedures.
9. Be highly productive achieving individual recovery targets and contribute to team targets.
10. Identify ways to improve the business, particularly reporting to Team Manager where there are regular difficulties or barriers to recovery of income.
