Job Description

We are looking for a number of highly dedicated support staff, who are committed to providing quality care for children and young people with autistic spectrum condition.

PERMANENT / CASUAL RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARER GRADE 2 – CHILDRENS SERVICES 8 Weeks Holiday, Group Personal Pension, 37hrs / Wk – Shift Work over 7 days including night shift

You need to be committed to providing quality care for children, demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and resilience for what is often a very demanding but rewarding vocation. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be expected to liaise with parents and professionals within the home and school along with outside agencies.

You should have a sound educational background, good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team. You will need to show patience and flexibility as children and young people have learning difficulties and may display challenging behaviour.

Successful applicants will be expected to complete NVQ Level 3 in Care.
