Deputy Home Manager - Care Home, Sunderland, Tyne & WearWe are a well established care organization that provides a safe and homely environment where the unique needs of individuals are recognized and skilled staff are available. To ensure this we offer training and development for all staff to ensure that service standards are achievedTHE ROLE - Deputy Home Manager: Responsible for all aspects of the running of the home. Ensure the staff team enable the residents to lead a valued, fulfilling life and to maximise the potential capacity of all residents physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Develop new initiatives in care practices and overall delivery of a quality service. RESPONSIBILITIES•To assist the Home Manager in all aspects of managing the home, ensuring high standards of care are provided for residents and that detailed Care Packages are in place.•Effectively support the staff in the delivery of the services, proactively developing staff skills.•To ensure the adherence to all requirements and regulations lay down under the Care Standards Act 2000 and all other necessary legislation.•To work within a flexible rota system adopted to meet the needs of the individuals living in the home.•Be able to deputise for the Home Manager during periods of absence, ensuring that the home continues to function within all disciplines at the highest level.•Assist the Home Manager with management of staff - this will include motivating the team, training/development and performance management•Ensure continued monitoring and assessment of the service delivered to residents•Ensure high standards are maintained at all times within the HomePERSON SPEC •Solid experience in a challenging care home - preferably gained whilst in a managerial/senior role•Well-organised self-starter, who can multi-task in a demanding environment•Trained RGN or RMN nurse•Excellent General Nursing and/or Mental Health experience•Excellent written and oral communication skills•Must be able to commit to sleep ins
