Team Leader £17,500 - £22,000

To be responsible for Operators in the Production department and report into the Planner / Engineer. To ensure that product and all activities relating to this is manufactured in a fully compliant manner, to meet all internal and external customer requirements.

Principal Accountabilities (Major end results the job is expected to achieve)

The person will report to the Planner / Engineer and work closely with all Operations Staff to ensure the effective and safe output of production in a fully compliant manner following internal procedures:

• Principal interface with my clients Operational Staff.

• Co-ordination of operational resource.

• Assisting the Planner / Engineer where necessary in the completion of all aspects of staff training, reviews, disciplinary, etc.

• Assist with line level staff appraisals and performance reviews if required.

• Ensuring adequate stocks and availability of equipments, materials and consumables.

• Ensuring stock control using FIFO rules and techniques.

• Responsibility for the shift without authority.

• Facilitate and co-ordinate production to ensure a compliant and satisfactory process and outputs, while maintaining timescale requirements.

• Ensure all maintenance and calibration requirements are achieved.

• Ensure all non-conformances are identified, raised and actions completed within agreed timescales.

• Professionally represent my client and its activities to external customers, suppliers, regulators and third parties.

• Prepare, write and review my clients controlled documentation where required.

• Follow and comply with all relevant of the clients policy and quality system procedures and practice.

• Contribute to the implementation of continual improvement processes wit the client and undertake to satisfy internal and external customers.

• Work effectively with my clients colleagues to participate and contribute to the successful completion of both personal, team and business quality objectives.

• Maintain an effective and accurate personal record of training in compliance with my clients training system policy and procedure.

• Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with prescribed client policies and procedures, with due consideration to health, safety and environmental risk.

You will be required to work days, eveings and night shifts on a rota system usually 3 days, 3 nights and 3/4 days off.
